Sorry for the thread title, it was to draw you in, and, well, it worked.. On the E36 are the coupe, saloon and compact wings the same? My osf wing is rusty as hell and would be easier to just swap it. Also, how can I find out what the silver is called?

You cant get to the back of them without first removing the rad cover. Or am I missing something?

A fellow compact owner experiencing all the problems of owning a compact. I cant get my grills out as the screws in the top of the rad cover are all rounded off, and im not so handy with power tools. Ill be spraying them on the car ha.

Car in question is an E36 318 ti 1.9 Compact. The gear selector has gone and it often jumps out of first gear when pulling away. I gather its easier to just stick a new box on, and you can get them pretty cheap. Is the box specific to a compact? Or will any box do? Is there a different box that will fit that will improve performance? Different ratios? Thanks Mike.

Car in question is an e36 318. The oil service light was on the orange so I put 3 litres in. The oil service light is still on the orange, how do I reset it?

Wooo! I went on both days and was fantastic. The little one didn't like the 3.5s so much though! Managed to get some mashed carbon fiber bits from one of the 3.5s too. Went last year and shook Ragnotti's hand, didn't even get close this year haha. Was a good day though, Saturday was deffo quieter than the Sunday.

Does anyone know the offset of the standard 15" alloys on the E36 Compact? I've found some wheels I like, deep dish, fronts are 8" and rears are 9" 5x120 ET 42. How will ET42s sit compared to the standard wheels?

The passenger window in the bimmer doesn't work. When you press the button for the window to go down, I hear a relay click twice, but no movement, and it clicks twice when the up button is pressed. Any ideas?

In the past for my Renualts, I used to use K-Tec Racing as they specialized in Renualt. What companies specialize in Beemers, that are reasonably priced and reliable? Mainly after styling stuff, and not performance stuff.

Fair point. Maybe lower it, a set of Alpina alloys (the s*x) and a low level spoiler for the boot, oh, and black grills at the front. See how I get on with that.
