  1. That would kill me, I'm not normally the clean car guy, that's only happened since owning the Beemer. Lol.
  2. Oh. I will probably think of more later. Lol
  3. Panic over as I've found one. I managed to get a new alarm controller and a matching key fob for £25 plus vat, well when I say new I mean new to me. Lol. It took alot of searching but I got there in the end.
  4. Hi dabs. No sunroof fitted. I dont think it's door seals as they look to be in fairly good shape. Not sure about the round bungs, but will take another look at those today. If I remember correctly when I was checking out the exhaust last time I did have a look at other stuff under it. The bungs looked to be covered in underseal but will recheck. I've got a horrible feeling that I'm going to have to take out the passenger seat, glove box and pull back the carpet. As for wheel arches i dont think its a problem so much when driving but when parked facing up hill outside my house, the car was stationary for two days then when i got in i checked and there it was. Job for the weekend I think. Cheers guys will keep you posted.
  5. Lol. That's amazing. So as our cars start to get older and older and the risk of failing an mot becomes greater and greater. The best thing is to start taking those bits off instead of testing them. Lol that's great. But make sure the top seatbelt anchors stay though. Ha ha
  6. Lol. You've opened up a possible mine field for questions now. So if my door decided not to close on me on the day of the mot, it would fail as it's fitted. But if I took them off then it should pass as not all cars are fitted with doors from factory. I'd like to see the mot inspectors face if that happened. So what is the most you could strip a car before it would fail an mot do you think. Is something I would love to try for a laugh. Lol
  7. Ok but first I need to know what drains and where. I've done the ones in the centre of the screen where the heater blower is. Has helped but not cured. Are there more???? Cheers gav.
  8. Thanks for that idea. Unfortunately for me mine is a coupe, so doesn't have that option fitted. But keep trying every one as that's another place to look eliminated. I will find it if it kills me. Lol
  9. Update. I don't think it's the circulation vent. Any other thoughts people.

Now you have changed the battery does the light work on the remote. Also which remote is it, is it for an alarm or just the central locking, is it a one button remote or two (red and grey). If it has an alarm I take it that it does not self arm. Sorry so many question but there are so many different systems out there.
  11. Anyone???? Or does anybody know about a good bm breaker.
  12. lol dark glasses for me then as the misses will be in attendance. ha ha
  13. Does anyone have this unit for sale for an e36 1997 ish. It's the alarm control unit. Part number is 82 91 9 408 596 or 82 92 9 404 791 it's not made anymore so a second hand one is expected. Any cars breaking would be handy. Cheers. has anybody got any experience with these systems, Plus does anyone know where its fitted.
  14. Right well it's switched over now so will keep an eye on it.
