Window tinting
Hi James, enjoy your ride! remember when you go for tints, the car should already be tinted, so get the garage to meter the fronts with the film on the window otherwise it might fail. one of my mates got done for having legal tint film on tinted windows, which he didn’t take into consideration. for the back… limo black! 👍🏻

Can you open the boot to reach the battery? use this terminal to put power to the car so you can open the boot and jump it from the battery itself if I remember correctly

Fault codes 130716/P1523/p13c9
It’s linked to the vanos sensor. but firstly, check the oil cap is the correct one and there should be an insert in it.

Reverse camera
Hi Meggy. You can install one to the x6 if you have a compatable head unit. If not, you can get aftermarket stereo systems which have camera inputs I’m not familiar with the 6 series, but it may be possible that the wiring look is already installed and just needs a camera fitting and enabled. stu

X3 Door locks
Welcome Paul. is it all the doors stay locked at the same time or a random one? my Porsche’s rear right started doing it and it turned out to be the door actuator. if it’s all at the same time every time, I would look at the relays as it’s giving a signal to all doors. Random 1 door will be getting the signal but failing to actuate

X1 gone
Hi Jo. Try this? 1. Switch off the ignition 2. Unclip the sleeve of the selector lever 3. Pull the sleeve up over the selector level until the sleeve is inside out 4. Using the screwdriver from the tool kit, press the red lever while moving the selector lever to the desired position with the button pressed.

Sounds like the sensor is giving false information… not showing a fault, just wrong data. change the sensors as well as the airbags. have a good week mate.. that will keep you busy!

2011 bmw 328ix drive shaking at 45 miles ahour and at other
Hi Brandon. first things first. Change the wheel for the spare.. if it stops, it’s the wheel. Next, check the wheel alignment. Then check for uneven wear across the tyre. You might have bent a suspension component. Check to see if a spring has broken?

Hi Ronald. What scanner are you using? I have a cheap 110 obd unit, an autel eu705 (or something ) and a pc with bmw 1.4.0 programme on it. all give me an option to reset adaptations in the dme menu.
