  6. Hi mate worth a try this used to happen on a xk8 I had put both windows down and hold buttons down for one minuet that used to reset windows
  7. Price for a good one: £4,500 Some of these are more than 20 years old, so it's arguably now a classic. What this two-door, four-seat drophead is, however, is very handsome and well-built, with a wonderfully smooth engine. It's an Eighties style icon but none the worse for it – and cheaper than an Audi Quattro. Getting long in the tooth now and many have suffered the indignities of aftermarket wheels and spoilers as well as eye-watering mileages. Drove well in its day, but was refined rather than fast, with taut-feeling controls, a ponderous gearchange, some scuttle shake and tail-happy handling. Trust your judgment. And avoid questionable bolt-on parts. If it feels tired, it probably is. Why you want one: wallet-friendly wind-in-the-hair, Eighties style icon, beautifully built and capable of long, trouble-free life. Why you don't: cracked cylinder heads when neglected, questionable custom interiors and paint, snap oversteer in the wet. You might not know: between 1986 and 1990 some 72,586 325i cabriolets were sold, making it the most popular cabriolet E30 derivative. It also gives today's buyer a big choice
  8. Performance 4 out of 5 stars Even the entry-level 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine produces 241bhp, so the X6 is never going to be short of power or pace. Go for the x40d (301bhp) and power jumps dramatically; petrol options are the 302bhp straight-six, 402bhp V8 or the X6 M's 547bhp twin-turbo V8 with supercar-rivalling performance Ride & Handling4 out of 5 stars The X6 is effectively a nimbler version of the X5 4x4. Although there's very little difference between the two at low speeds, the more sophisticated four-wheel-drive system fitted to the X6 delivers exceptional grip and traction when you push on. Body lean is also kept to a minimum, particularly if you specify the Adaptive Drive active anti-roll bars. The firm ride tends to jostle occupants over patchy surfaces, but it's never harsh Refinement 3 out of 5 stars Although the well-proven diesel engines are powerful and flexible, their poor refinement gives away their age. They can vibrate and rasp under hard acceleration. The V8 is quiet and smooth at low speeds, and emits a deep growl from the exhaust when revved. Wind noise is kept at bay, but the massive tyres generate a fair amount of road noise
