  1. Hi @Greydog Thanks for getting back to me. I haven't checked the fuses as on the fuse layout card it doesn't say there's a fuse running the motors, there's only 2-3 fuses running the headlights. Do you think it's worth replacing all the fuses for the headlights first? I don't normally buy second hand parts, but if I need to replace the sensors, I'll go brand new as my headlights working is pretty important. Thanks again
  2. Hi, I have a E92 320D Coupe with the auto/self-levelling headlights when the car starts. Since we've had the cold weather they've stopped levelling when I turn the car on and then turn the lights on. I've done a Google search and seen that BMW's that have these types of lights have a level sensor on the back axle and either on the NSF or OSF A arm. I haven't been able to locate one and I've also seen that it may be controlled by a fuse, but the fuse diagram in my glovebox makes no mention of a sensor. The headlights turn on fine, they're just pointing downwards all the time. If anyone has any idea why this may have happened, I'd really appreciate hearing from you. Please note: My car is bog standard, no modifications apart from a remap which was done some time ago. It has standard suspension and hasn't been lowered previously. Thanks, Taz
  3. Might be worth posting some pictures to drum up some interest in this thread Gregg. Do you have a website where the spec can be looked at too?
  4. I doubt it'll sit very high, my 320D M sport coupe doesn't sit high when doing 70. Couldn't answer for a completely different car with a different engine. Hope someone provides you the answer Harry.
  5. Since buying my 320D, I've been using my normal car cleaning products, mainly Autoglym, which reading on here isn't many peoples cup of tea. I like it, but it's all I've ever used. I am therefore looking to upgrade my cleaning products to something different. Not sure on budget wise, as long as the products being recommended have good reviews, I'm game to try it. Any products you guys can recommend would be great. Thanks, Taz
  6. I'm sure there will be someone on here who can tell you what that is. Out of interest, why do you need to know?
  7. My windscreen tends to be fine, I normally wash the windscreen with washing up liquid every time I was my car. It takes all the rubbish away, better than any car cleaning shampoo. I use Rainex on the back window and it's perfect.
  8. Just seen this, sorry Shane, been on holiday for a week. My E92 is the same as David's, it doesn't have a rear wiper. If you use some rainex, it will help with stopping the rain beading and sitting on the rear window.
  9. Have you jacked your car up and listened to the wheel spinning? It might be a good idea, if you have the equipment to do so.
  10. On my E92, you press the stalk up or down and then push or pull it to speed up/down.
  11. Have you got a photobucket account or another site that provides IMG codes when you upload your picture?
  12. Welcome mate and enjoy your new car!
  13. Looking on the web, it says that a standard 330ci is 231bhp.
  14. Welcome to the forum Tony!
  15. Hi, So my private number plate will be due to go on my 320D shortly. I have some pressed plates and will be putting them on with sticky pads. Does anyone who the standard hole size for the number plate screws as I'm going to plug them to stop water getting through them.
  16. No problem Dean, glad you managed to find out whether you had it or not. I'm no expert but it may be worth looking into setting up your BMW stereo with the original Bluetooth. I'm sure there's plenty of written off BMW's around with the Bluetooth units in them. I'd have a look down that route before getting something like a Parrot as normally you have to pull your dash to bits to get them fitted.
  17. Thanks Bruce, I appreciate your comment. I love the shape of the car and think the colour is really nice too. Think Silver or the same Blue as yours look great!!
  18. No worries, I've never sold a private plate. I've had plenty of offers on my FA57 TAZ plate, but it's a keeper.
  19. So I've had the car a week now and I still can't stop smiling. I've never owned a BMW before, but I've been in them over the years as my parents and partners parents have owned them. I absolutely love this car, I've had endless amounts of fun in it in just one week. I've had a few looks from other drivers, they look like they think I've pinched the car only being 26. Here's the car below. It's a pretty much fully spec'd 320D M Sport. Just waiting now for my private plate to be transferred. I won't be modifying this car, so just probably do odd and sods to tidy it up. Sorry about the quality, I took the picture on my iPhone.
  20. Have you tried holding the phone button down for 3 seconds? This puts the car in pair mode. You will see a message comes up on your screen, if you turn on BT on your phone and then press search on your radio, you'll see your phone will find BMW - ????? with the exclamation marks being the last 5 digits of your VIN. If you select it, you'll then be asked to put in a 4 digit pin and then be asked to do the same on your phone. Once they're paired, you will be set.
  21. I'd not managed to work out how to scroll through that menu, so thanks Bruce for telling me. I'll take a look at this tonight to see what the numbers are and whether it tells me what they are. It's been into BMW the weekend before last to have the timing chain recall done. I'll get some pictures up once I've given it a clean :) didn't get chance this weekend, had a family wedding.
  22. Hi, So I finally got my hands on my new car on Friday. I've had it off my father-in-law and it's unbelievably nice to drive. Having never owned or driven a BMW before, I didn't know what to expect, but it's amazing. The car runs perfect, but after having a little look round and try all the buttons, I've noticed that next to the milometer I have a warning triangle, with an exclamation mark inside with a 3 digit number next to it. It cycles through various numbers. Can anyone shed any light on what these numbers mean? Many thanks, Taz
  23. I've completely forgot the name of the colour that BMW are using on the new 3 series, but it's almost a dark grey. I don't want it to look too stupid, I just would like to look different. I'll probably go for a grey colour, just not sure on what shade yet. I'm taking it to the place who are doing it on Tuesday after the bank holiday so I can pick out the colour at the time. @mikesmith2939 I have a good track record of not kerbing wheels, but as this car is probably twice as long and a lot wider than my C2, I think I'll be putting that record to the test
  24. Hi Janey, Sorry to resurrect an this thread. I mentioned that eBuyer had a camera system on their daily offers. Well it's back. It should be £208 but it's down to £124.99. Looks a great bit of kit, here's the link.
  25. Thanks for your help Mike. I get the car in a little under two weeks now. It's currently in BMW having a service and the rear brakes done by my father-in-law who I'm buying the car from. He's paying for this to be done a long with having the wheels refurbed in a colour of my choice. Any ideas on what would be the best colour to have, the car is silver, with these wheels. I don't want to go black, but I've been made aware that the new crop of the 3 series are having the wheels done in almost a light grey, which appeals to me. I'm not going to be modifying the car, so I don't want to go black and have it looked daft (no offence). Any ideas on colour would be appreciated.
