  5. Hi Mike Welcome to the BMW Owners Club mate. Glad your liking your X3 Like they say, first class ride requires a first class price. But well worth it in the end. Stress levels are certainly lower than having a small car i reckon LOL
  6. lets thrash this out and get a location, then set a date. Lets choose somewhere that has some cover too, as autumn is here.
  7. ouch thats gonna suck getting those right. unless there is a pattern to the colours and then test the sound by connecting each wire. If the current speaks don't have tweeters in them and are external then you will need to have a 12 wire otherwise it will sound awful. Tweeters are important. Best way would be to rewire new speakers with tweeters already in them. MB Quart speakers sound fantastic IMO.
  8. i do like the new front end of the mini.. the lights have a good shape. but for 16K for a 4x4 4 door mini thats pretty good value
  9. Looking at the new mini countryman, not sure if I like it or not, back quarter looks odd http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/front_website/gallery.php?o=0&id=352522
  10. I used to get this on the wifes car, I used to slap it in to 2nd then it would slip in to 1st, but only when stationary of course
  11. So the old loom block was removed and you are left with a bunch of wires? Are any of the wires colored? Or markings How many speakers?
  12. Welcome to the club tomo!
  13. saw some on ebay once :)
  14. i always thought that warranty companies want you to buy their products within 90 days of purchase or expired manfacturers warranty. Terms need to be checked before buying. dealer warranty is different as they are able to check the car in person anyway.
  15. Seems a reasonable cost for piece of mind

  22. perhaps the bonnet catch is vibrating against metal, or the bonnet hinges are loose. Lubraicate all of these areas with white grease to eliminate
  23. If it is a high pitched continous chirp then could be fan belt worn
  24. Tracks may need lubricating or the motor is worn Welcome to the club
  25. did it ever work? if not, then have it checked by BMW as it may be switched off. I had this on my lexus and i found that if i had the keys in my pocket and the button was pressed all my windows opened, i got fed up waking up in the morning and seeing all the windows of my car wide open. Also happened in a public car park.. i i had then turn this feature off. If it has worked before then it may be the batteries in your fob, or a faulty fob.
