  1. As the newer petrol models have a similar exhaust filter ?? Not read anything about the newer Petrols yet so can't comment My 3.0d X5 has a DPF and my mileage is below 5k these days but at least once a month it gets a good work out at motorway speeds which so far is keeping it clear So difficult choice more MPG against the possibility of lower maintenance Dave
  2. Morning Craig A few things First when you charge or Jump a BMW make sure it is at the charge points under the bonnet or remove the battery from the car if you don't you can cause damage. Your battery is dead I am afraid 9-10v after charging a healthy battery should show 12.5 to 12.8v around 14v + with engine running. It is that time of year mine died yesterday morning 🤔 Dave
