Mini One Handbrake Gaiter

Hi all,

I'm trying to fit a new leather hand brake gaiter to a '02 Mini One and have got as far as fixing the new zip cable. However, I'm not sure how the rest of the gaiter is fixed around the plastic interior trim. Should the gaiter be folded over and glued down? Is there a specific glue I should use?

Any advice appreciated.

    A pic or two would be great.

    Past experience would suggest it slips under the console and held in by another lower plastic trim, but some are different !
