Does anyone know if it is possible to swop the the wiring leads over between the Coolant Temp. Sensor and the Temp. Gauge Sensor? I suspect that the Coolant Temp. Sensor has packed up and I thought I could just swop them over as the gauge sensor works OK and this would be a quick test. Any ideas?

Cheers fellas.

dont know i senders would swap over but has it got 1 wire or two if its got 2 then take a small length of wire beared at both ends and just make a circuit between them the gauge should reqister full with wire conected between them. If it does good chance it is the sender i would say. single wire is basicly the same but just find good earth point on the engine or the one end and gauge should do same.

Hope this makes sence and helps.

+1 Thats a way

You can try swapping them over. It might show something but it's not going to be accurate. Only good to test functionality I guess

++1 The 2 wire sensor generally "grounds" within itself
