New 2012 3 Series F30 Saloon

Has anyone had the same problem with their 2012 3Series Saloon that I have, as follows -

The driver side rear light holder that is attached to the boot lid came loose at one side.

Took it in to my local BMW Dealership for inspect and repair.

The plastic retaining clips had broken off the light at the RHS and they attempted to fit a new holder.

The holder would not locate in to the boot lid fully so it was taped in place temporarily whilst they contacted BMW Germany for Technical assistance.

A repair procedure was forwarded in the form of a PUMA notification which directed that the light holder should be CEMENTED in position at the RHS.

I spoke to BMW Customer Service UK who advised that if this is the recommended fix from Germany then there is nothing they can do to over-ride the recommended fix.

I reluctantly agreed to the fix and it has not worked to my (or the Dealership) satisfaction.

The Dealership are back in contact with Germany so at this point in time we do not know the outcome.

In the meantime, thought I would see if anyone else has had similar problems.
