Whilst checking oil etc notice that the alarm siren was disconnected, reconnected it, the doors lock from remote (2 button type red and grey), indicators flash, red led goes from solid to flash, :)

On disarming, the doors unlock, the indicators flash and the siren sounds and keeps !Removed! sounding :(, I guess this is why it was disconnected.

Boot switch is working, bonnet switch is snapped and disconnected and interior sensors do not pick anything up (arms waving inside the car).

I believe the control unit is behind the glove box,, thinking of disconnecting the interior sensors as these don't work, however as it is only sounding when disarming not sure this will cure the fault.

Any ideas would be great

The alarm sounder will probably have an internal battery, if this has expired the the system will continuously be in "Fault-Mode"...

Disconnect the car battery whilst the alarm is sounding-off, this is the easiest way to tell if it has an internal one (and if it works lol) ;)

BTW, try leaving the car battery disconnected for a few hours to see if the fault clears !! (only works with BMW OEM alarms)...

The battery has been disconnected recently as it was flat, will try disconnecting tho whilst it is sounding

Disconnected battery whilst sounding and it stopped. Left disconnected overnight, reconnected this morning and it started sounding again and won't disarm with remote

You could try resetting alarm... This principle works on many BMW's...

It will be annoyingly frustrating to do but worth a pop !

Forgot to mention two important things...

1- If your car battery is not a good one or weak, this will activate the alarm !

2- The bonnet sensor switch is a common fault, unplug it, only other option is to replace it and not try to force it in the closed position as it doesn't cure it !

I need to change the glove box button as it keeps popping out, is this a glove box out job aswell

Cheers
