Im currently using my E36 323i touring as my works vehicle. I have been considering an lpg kit as an option to reduce he fuel bill. Has anyone here had a conversion done on an one of these and in your opinion was it worth doing

i have an e46 323.is your fuel consumption that bad then?i get about 26 to 28 mpg in mine

On average im getting 25mpg locally pushing up to to mid 30s on a long run. I love the car im just loking for a way to reduce my overheads. Im running a newly started mmobile mechanics business so anything that reduces overheads needs to be considered. My parents converted their 4.2l range rover and roughly halved the running costs

i wouldnt bother mate.just buy a diesel if i was you

Hey,

Im with Mart on this one. Simply is not worth it. Big engine cars you can justify the cost of the conversion with the money you will save on fuel. Not with a 2.5ltr IMO. Stick with it matey :)

As above... You'd be looking at £2K+ for a qualified instalation and I wouldn't think the E36 would justify this initial outlay...

Just my opinion Matey ;)

Would be chuffed with 20+ around town

Agreed, dont both LPG just freezes up and back fires. If it was that good they would make them new with it!

Thats right Ian, you don't see ANY gas cars rolling off the production line !!

well you did, they were made in Luton.

they rolled off the production line then quickly had the wheels pinched
