Hi people I need a bit of help if poss cut a long story short I have a BMW 328 e46 1999 now the water pump went down the shoot so instead of going to my local BMW dealer I£££££ I decided to going with after market sort £18 fitted and bleed the system (god knows how many times) but I don't seem to be getting any hot air heating was working fine before I changed the pump so I took the pump back out to check its the same and it looks different its metal on the end and the BMW pump is plastic could this be my problem

Is it the fins that are metal, if so, thats the better one as the plastic ones are known to snap.

BMW's are a nightmare to bleed!!

Also, while you in there, get the thermostat and water temp sensor changed.

I'll bet my life there is still air in the system though

Your right there must done the bleed about 5 times , I thought I sorted it before as when I put the water pump back in it got hot and stayed hot Evan when driving until I came to a junction and stopped it became cold again , and back to the water pump the whole end is metal Evan the fins

Metal fins def the better pump,as for the airlock.....good luck with that !! BMW airlock is a flippin nightmare to get rid of,jack the front end up/drive up a ramp etc take of the rad cap/bleed valve and run it till it gets hot and water NOT AIR comes out of it.then it should be done :) good luck

Just seems wired how this has happened since changing the pump , I take it it only has one bleed screw
