Have traded my 5 series (520d) for a new X5 which is on the way to the dealership. Will be there "in a week or so" but the wait is agony!! Didn't intend to buy a new one, but got a great deal on a car spec'd beyond my (limited) dreams. Excited is not the word....

    ...and so I collected it on Saturday. Really really nice - slightly firmer ride than the old 5 and thirstier, but I will get used to those I hope. Loads of room inside - feels bigger and higher up from inside than the outside suggests (like a tardis) and the panoramic sunroof is awesome. In many ways it's even easier to drive than the 5 - more responsive and the handling is a real surprise - no roll whatsoever.
