Hi all, when I start my car when the engine is cold and the revs drop below 1000rpm to idle (600rpm) the car feels like its miss firing and is not happy. When she is warm she runs sweet as a nut. I have replaced all 4 coils but this hasn't cleared it. I just wondered if anybody has had the same problem or knows what it could be?? Thanks in advance Aaron

Mine does and always has idled at around 650-700..

You can manipulate that

The ICV may need to warm up to work which is not correct. Get that cleaned first and go from there :)

What do you mean Darren? Manipulate it? I thought it was okay for a low idle?

It is. I'm just saying, you can change that when you want by adjusting the throttle cable. In context to what Aaron is saying, to manipulate his idle there is more to it as something is at fault

Oh right, I did actually know that believe it or not lol! Was constantly having to adjust it on my old car.

Aaron. i have the exact same problem.... mines really sluggish when pulling off... and the engone judders when its idling. but when its warm its ok...but at low revs its dodgey...i too have replaced the coil packs and spark plugs and im yet to cure it..:/ frustrating!!

ICV is top of your list

will that be a clean and adjust or a new replacement?

+1 t Daz, But check airfilter, or give it a full service, basically check all fluid levels, just give the whole car a good going over making sure everything basic is correct then go from there< airflow meters can do this but normally would also run rough as well
