Hey guys,

I bought my first car (316 compact) and it was fine, a couple days later and around 20 miles its making a really weird and dodgy sound? My mate who's a mechanic had a quick listen and he says its likely a lubrication issue. as it was, there was low oil in the sump? we had a look around and no signs of leaks at all?

he has advised me to get a bmw professional to have a good look and listen, even strip the engine down?

Im not sure i can quite afford to spend the high fees ive been quoted. Any help/advice is highly appreciated at the moment

    First thing would be to go to any garage and have it put a diagnostic computer and go from there....I wonder why the last owner sold it......
