So I had a sidelight bulb out. Seeing as I only work round the corner from BMW I gave them a ring. I gave my reg, told them I wanted a set of sidelight bulbs and would collect later that afternoon. I was then told the price would be £2.79 +VAT... EACH. Therefore I went to Toyota, bought exactly the same pair of bulbs for 91p! Anyone explain this? Or is it because I'm female they thought they could rip me off?!

I was once told BMW were a quality product,so only used quality materials, hence price.

It was BMW customer service that informed me of this.

a bulb is a bulb and prob all made at the same place, BMW like all big companys now get stuff made out somewhere cheap...for example my old man has a VW ( the little tiny one smaller than a polo) having brain freeze and cant think of its name but he bought it, beleiving its the usual VW german built quality car and its actually built in Brazil, hes had it 6 months fom new, already the door locks broke, and beenback a few times for various other things, think its called the FOX but the build quality for what supposed to be german engineering is crap.
