I seem to have a funny noise when starting her up it's like a loud buzz a bit like if you keep the ignition key fully turned when starting the engin ... Any ideas ?

    just took it round to my mates and he said the same but also detected a rattle that could be the timing chain :wacko:

    Took it into my local independent BMW guys today buzzing was sticky starter motor seems to have stopped now and rattle was a lose engin cover
