Welcome to BMWOC,

Yes and No. Depends on where it is from. An example is where I dumped ALL my engine oil all over the road and it just turned out to be a £6.67 oil pressure sensor that I managed to catch on a speed bump. Often its just leaking from a gasket and sometimes its an easy on like the rocker-cover gasket but sometimes its a pain in the back side gasket like sump or camshaft.

Get enough oil in the car to test, then leave it on idle for a bit but do not move the car. Check where the oil is landing on the floor and chase it back. Take a photo of it and post it up here and we'll tell you what it is and how to fix it. Don't worry mate

Looks serious but fixable... Main causes - Front/Rear crank seal, Front/Rear Cam seal, Sump gasket, rocker gasket, Oil-pressue switch, oil-temp switch, oil-filter seal, loose dip-stick tube, blocked breather...

Try to narrow down the area of the leak by inspecting from top and working around and downwards around the engine...

Is it deffo engine oil?
