we got horses and i cant see my bmw getting out where we stable them, should be fun trying tho!! haha

my skylines had no problems and they were rwd,the bm is poor in snow imo ,all 3 ,maybe its choice of rubber ,thought about wheel socks like the medics .

SNOW ?? Bring it on whenever it comes, never had any trouble driving in it with the Beemer last time, and I wont this time :) !!

Its not what you drive, its how you drive it !! FACT !!

yea just try not to drive up any hills and you'll be fine.if you do need to drive up a snowy hill, fill your boot with sand and reverse up it.hahaha

Soz to say it but hills werent a problem either :) !!

its all about momentum, traction, engine speed and gear selection and accelerator control !!

I agree with Snypa, I had a Saab for a few weeks in the snow...was !Removed!.

The 46 never gave me a problem, showed some astras and corsas up on a steep hill one night, they were struggling, I just drove straight past tongue.gif

heh, i tried it once in my cupra. not sure if it was the type of tyres but man i was going nowhere

mind you it was up to the headlights

I drove my car in the snow last year and it was terrible - but that's not to say I didn't enjoy it! As my fellow Lutonian said, it isn't what you drive it's how you drive it.

My traction control doesn't work, so it's stuck off but it didn't feel too twitchy - it felt the same as a FWD car on ice anyway.

Ice is slippery - fact.

Got my car's snow boots to help me too! Nice and skinny BMW Bottle Top wheels!

yea but you've got a baby engine though jas

lmfao....Oh no here went there Jas

Snypaaaa tell hiiiiiim! :(

It may be a baby engine but that Beemers got adult STANCE :) !!

Why thank you B) it took a LOT of hard work! Only able to enjoy the new wheels for a while until Winter forces them off!

driven 320s, 323s and a 520 in the snow, deffinatley an interesting experience, although not as much of a brown trouser moment as spinning the 520 360 degrees in the wet. Looking forward to giving the X a spin in the white stuff if we havent parted company before it arrives. Anyone used winter tyres, if so is there a great improvement as I live on the top of a big hill/ side road which dosent get gritted.

I've found the "Easter Egg" on my 7 that allows "Half-on" traction control that only applies brakes and does not restrict the engine at all !!!!

So, looking forward to the snow... Fingers crossed :P

Knew it existed, but while at Sandal BMW, I only dealt with the 5 series!

Spun my 520i 360+ in the wet going around a roundabout @ 4am. Nearly killed myself. I wanted to go ahead but the ass had different plans...

No problems in the snow in my x5, blast through the White stuff! Bring it on.
