i have a 5 series 525I se e39 model.and i have noticed a problem with my heating system. the heat comes out 100% on the drivers side top and bottom vents but cold on the passenger side top and bottom vents regardless of any settings. anyone got any ideas as to my problem... my feet are boiling, my wife's are freezing!!

There are actual temp sensors inside the ducts... To cure this prob you may need to remove the ducts to access these sensors...

Similar symptoms to my car a few months back, I ripped out the temp sensors !! All good now!! :unsure:

the sensors wouldnt be an oblong black plastic box that i can see poking out by the windscreen vent outlet?? been wondering what that is!!

It could even be the controller/resistor (Hedgehog) attached to the blower that is not performing as it should... Greeney has a write-up on this ...
