BMW Auto Box Question? Normal Auto or SMG?

Hi, just a daft question! From this pic below is this car a normal auto or a smg gearbox? Thanks Dean!

Thanks for the welcome :D I think I may be swapping my Golf GT TDI for this 330ci but he has not told me the transmission on the car yet! Do the normal autos have the manual shift on them as well or are they just straight auto?

please correct me if i'm wrong but I think that the normal auto's have park,neutral, revers + go gears.... no tiptronic so that could possibally be the SMG box but not 100%

You are wrong. The picture shows the standard auto gearbox on the e46 - it has PRND, then across the gate it has sport mode, and then from this position it has +/- manual mode. However, this should NOT be confused with the SMG gearbox.
