I have had three alloys crack and have been told by BMW it’s the British Roads. No obvious incidents. Although, I do live in rural Dorset. It appears to be a mix of the low profile tyres, roads, some old man driving and not the greatest alloys. Has anyone else had a similar experience and is it worth changing the alloys and tyre profiles? Thanks, Steve.

being a dorset chap myself, i can say the roads are dreadful. Especially in Bournemouth!!!

Got a 4x4 to handle it with and will install big spotlights so i can see in the very poorly lit roads.

Is it me, or these new LED street lights along with high intensity car lights just really hard to drive at night?

Steve, maybe look at winter wheels! then they can get mucky, bashed and keep the summer ones for cruising. :)

Hi Steve

Welcome to the Forum

Not good what size wheels are you running and is the cracking spokes or rim ? Your not alone with pot holed roads Sunny Sussex isn't any better

Maybe as suggested a set of 19" wheels with deeper sidewall tyres may give a bit of cushioning
