Recently acquired a 2.2ltr 2005 Z4 at a price which I could not resist if though it had little or no drive through the transmission.

Diagnosed a fluid leak so off came the sump, changed the fluid filter, fitted a new gasket and a new transmission seal to the output shaft put it back in only to find a pool of fluid on the garage floor the next day.

My only thoughts now are that the fluid pump may be leaking so I should change the gasket on this as well?

Anyone else encountered this problem before?

I welcome any advice/suggestions as to how to fix this issue.
