Need some help - daughters car broke down 2012 1.6 M Sport - AA said at first coil pack but them timing chain had stretched- the below is what the garage has done and now cannot find the fault we are getting desperate to get it sorted 😩😩😩

Original faults misfire cylinder 4

Camshaft angle offset with crankshaft

Removed coil from cylinder 4 found damage, replaced coil and plug, fault cleared.

Camshaft angle offset with crankshaft reoccurred

Removed rocker cover - found timing chain loose- damage to guides

Replaced timing chain, tensioner, guides, rocker gasket

Cleared faults

Fault - inlet Camshaft stuck

Charge pressure control switch of as consequence

Removed and replaced both inlet and exhaust vanos hubs, rocker gasket

Cleared faults and retested

Removed and replaced inlet vanos solenoid

Cleared faults and retested

Fault reoccurred inlet camshaft stuck

Charge pressure control switch off as a consequence

Any help would be appreciated- the garage is still no further forward with the problem

Thanks Dave , the vanos were replaced by the garage and it’s still stuck , the frustration is that the car was actually running ok when it went in for repair, the garage is now dropping the subframe to get to the sump to see if any broken parts are causing issues in the camshaft - the daughter is a nurse and really needs a car , lessons learnt should have took it directly to a BMW independent specialist i think 😩
