I'm getting around to replacing my stolen X5.

I fancy a 3 series Touring and have my eye on a 2021 example with 76K miles on the clock.

Are there faults or issues that I should look out for ?

As with all car purchases History History History (although these days with extended service intervals that may not tell you much) General condition inside and out and does everything work as it should are a good indicator, you know from experience there are no cheap fixes. A battery condition check may help

Hello again Dave.

I've seen a couple of tourings online.  Hi-ish miles 75K miles. 2021  Saloons are cheaper and there's more choice.  I fancy a touring because its a the closest I'm gonna get to an X5 :-( 

My experience with the turbo on my missing X5 (N20), has made me weary, but I know the 330e models have a newer, better engine.

history and good old gut feeling. Condition and loads of history with money no object kind of ownership. 

What i do with cars with expensive parts is i build up a car slush fund, over time you can dip in to the slush fund to maintain it.  Build up the car slush fund to a level that if anything bad happens u can cover a big chunk of it. Like a personal warranty where the money is in your bank and not a warranty / dealers bank account.
