E31 840ci 1995 front shocks

Recommended Posts

Looking for some shocks for my 8 series. Ordered some Bilstein shock inserts but don't look right for the car. Looked on the bmwfans catalogue and doesnt show them separate  Also rang bmw for these. They want £700 each ouch. Can anybody help or advise any better deals.

Car also needs a front lower offside suspension arm at £300 from bmw, top mounts and bump stops etc at £300 the pair, oxy lambda sensors and possible catalytic convertors. Worried on oem costs for these

Can any body advise sources for quality non oem parts.

Regards Steve

Morning Steve

Welcome to the Forum

If your car didn't have Bilstien as OEM it will not accept the inserts

Start with www.realoem.com put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box it will bring up your Model.

Then search the relevant sections the small exploded drawings are useful for identifying where stuff fits and how and the part numbers are good for Googling the best source/price etc. If you double click the part number it will bring up any alternatives/models parts were used on.

Good Luck

Dave
