Morning Stephen

Welcome to the Forum

I was going to say battery (then read your post again) have you checked the Power Post under the bonnet is that tight?

Otherwise it is a Diagnostic session

Hi thanks for the reply. I've checked the rear end and all it tight I'll check the front today. My battery is a Yuasa HSB019 Silver 12V Car Battery its been registered can't be coded correctly due to being a 100ah can only be coded to a 90. Could this be the problem ?

My E53 has the same Battery, registering just regulates charging so I would check voltage at the under bonnet charging points Should be 12v+ (min) ignition on engine off 14v+ engine running. Quick thought is it registered as AGM which I believe yours will be?

Is the IBS lead in the boot in good condition

Good Hunting hope it's a simple fix

Hi just thought I'd update my listing all my problems listed in this and in the pictures was due to an intermittent alternator regulator issue (over voltage) Cheers

  • Thanks 1
