The fog lights on my 1997, E31, 840ci are always on, (even the dash indicator light) even with the ignition turned off. I also pulled the fuse and they stayed on. They are on eventhough the headlights are off. I finally disconnected the bulbs so as not to drain the battery. I think the problem may be with the Light Control Module (LKM) part number 61351383412. I can not find another module. Does anyone know of a source or some place that can diagnois and repair my module. Thanks for your help.

Morning Rudy

Welcome to the Forum

Not sure where you are in the world, if you are in the UK there are several repairers

Try ECU Testing in Nottingham or Cartronix both have Websites

Good luck

Dave

Thanks Dave. I am located in the USA but if I don't find a source here I will contact those you suggested. Thanks for your help.

Morning Rudy

Another thought in the UK there is an online list of BMW Dismantlers I have used Quarry Motors in Sheffield UK several times maybe an email exchange may help

If you end up changing the LCM/FCM you may get a tamper dot against mileage don't worry it is a fairly simple fix
