I've got a 2006 e87 118D m47 and I'm looking to upgrade turbo for more power. 

What turbos have people used to get more poke?

    Welcome to the Forum

    Obvious questions first a good ECU remap can give a good increase in power, has that been tried? 

    The next obvious is to think of a Turbo from a 2.0d but a bigger turbo won't do much good without bigger injectors and intercooler plus another Remap. More boost needs more fuel and better charge cooling. Don't forget Brakes, Suspension, Steering and Tyres. No point in going fast if you cant stop 

    Check www.realoem.com for part numbers so you know stuff will fit. When spending your hard earned cost things carefully as when you add up the cost it may be cheaper to just trade in your car for one with  the performance you want.
