Hi All,

Going for my first X5 purchase. Looking for a reasonably low mileage model and probably 5 seater. Any suggestions please on what is the best model to look for. willing to spend up to about 18K

Morning Richard

Welcome to the Forum

Most of the cars to see will be Diesel powered there seem to be very few Petrol models around

All Diesel X5's have basically the same 3.0 straight six engine the models and performance vary by the number of turbo's equipment levels are normally good even on the base models.

So choose the model with the trim and accessories you want, check the history very carefully use all the tools you can, MOT Check, HPI and of course Service History. I would think your looking at 2015 on cars dependent on mileage and model/type

If you find a Petrol model MPG will be 18 around town mid 20's on a run. Diesels are much more frugal with low 20's around town mid 40's on a run.

Good luck with the hunt

Dave
