Looking to buy

Hi all, I'm new to this forum, but have owned two 3 series BMs in the past.

Currently driving a "ahem" , Audi A6 (sorry!), but looking to buy a 2014 3ltr 5 series with only 25k miles and us priced at £19,999. But they'll go down to £19,499 at the lowest. The is also in excellent condition and I've test driven the car which drives very well.

Not too sure on the rules but just wanted to ask if I could post a link to the car to see if the price is right?

I feel the price is too high but wanted to get a second opinion.

If its OK I can post the link?

Thanks in advance.

Morning Simon

Welcome to the Forum

My local Dealer has a 2019 530e at £21000 with 66k on the clock so even though it is low miles it seems a bit of a premium price for a 9 year old car

Have you checked Parkers website to get a feel for prices

Good Luck with the hunt

Dave

Some of the Aldi's are nice cars I hear 🤣

Thanks Dave, I've checked a few of the valuation sites, with varying prices. 'What car' actually says £20k, but others say around the £18k mark so I'm proper confused.

I'm just wary about spending 20k on a ~10 year old car.

20k is a big investment particularly when you consider that an older car will require more maintenance. Suspension bushes deteriorate just with age as do all rubber components all worth considering. Unless it is your dream car and your going to keep it years.

I did read some years back where someone rang the dealer and asked what the trade in value would be for a car with similar spec to the one in their showroom (they didn't know he had seen the car) almost 5k less was the indication of price, makes you think
