I have a 520d xdrive 2018 and need front discs and pads, any recommendations on what brand to buy and what brand to avoid

If not going OEM stick to the well known names do an Internet search as there are always deals to be had Euro Car Parts often have good deals running.

After fitting make sure you bed them in to avoid any chance of warping your shiny new brakes

I have Brembo Discs and pads on my E53 4.6is as when they needed changing the prices were very competitive, my E70 3.0d front discs are OEM rear are Mintex (ch anged due to rusting) with Mintex pads all round

My Brother inlaws 540d touring is BMW OEM all round as they were very competitive on price when he was price checking
