Hi, car been stood for a while and battery almost flat, tried turning over but battery died. After recharge heater will only blow hot and that's before using aircon (all worked perfectly before flat battery) when a/c is on it makes very little difference. Any help much appreciated. Regards Phil

Morning Phil

Welcome to the Forum

First when the battery was recharged did you charge using the charge points in the engine bay or at the battery?

If you charged at the battery it could cause damage to control units. If it was charged at the charging pints try disconnecting the battery (Neg first) and leave it for 15 mins then re=connect it may help reset everything.

From your description it would seem the climate control unit is not doing it's job, start with a check of all fuses, can you adjust temp/ fan speed etc at the climate control unit? Pop the unit out and clean the connections and reconnect if that does nothing then a diagnostic scan will tell what the issue is.

Hope this helps

Dave

Thanks Dave for your help, i re charged the battery fom under the bonnet, everything was fine prior to this. The fan speed control still works fine, but the car will only blow hot even when turned down to the 'blue area' on the dial. When I try the a/c it seems to cool very slightly. Everything else works fine.
