I ve been missing for a while having changed vehicles over the years …..St mondeo,  Passat, Insignia, St focus estate, Jag XF sportbrake, Audi quattro estate and now BMW Estate….so kinda a newbie i suppose🙄

I have the F31 330d m sport variant with 37k on clock and was hoping someone could help? Just purchased the service items to keep within the 8k to prepare for the tour of the Highlands so obviously oil + filter, pollen and air filter and diesel filter which brings me to the question, i have watched youtube footage of diesel filter changes and some are using the Ista programme to prime the filter so…… can i just prime by possibly filling the filter with diesel and then using the ignition to finalise the prime?

Welcome (Back) to the Forum

I think that will work, as with quite a few of the ISTA/INPA driven operations it also registers that the Filter has been changed or in a few thousand miles you may start getting Service warnings. There are several programs now that can carry out these operations so maybe a member here who has INPA/ISTA, Autologic or similar can help?
