Hi guys,

Could anybody point me in the right direction to try any figure out what is happening with my radio. Long story short my CCC unit failed and was beyond repair. This unit was the CCC style with the CD drive and the SAT disc drive only nothing else. I came across a bundle on the internet that consisted of a CCC pretty much the same but has the buttons 1 to 9 under the CD drive, 8.8 screen and facia. I’ve installed all the parts and all my idrive comes on but there’s no sound from the speakers. I’ve had a look at the MOST fibre loop and I’m getting lights at every module ie: logic 7 and tv/video module/ logic amp has a solid orange light illuminated at the bottom. My car doesn’t have AUX or Bluetooth so do I continue to throw money at the sound system or just install a separate Bluetooth radio in where the Cd Changer goes and re-wire all the speakers and be done with it.

Apologies for the long post but I thought I’d give all the info I could.

Morning ED

Welcome to the Forum

I remember reading some time ago that that certain CCC units were not exchangeable. Have you looked at www.realoem.com if you haven't used the site before put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box it will call up your model then check the Audio section. Double click the CCC part number it will bring up a list of units that can be exchanged, then check the part number on the unit you have.

If all is OK then it may be that the unit needs registering to your chassis (theft prevention measures)

Hope this is some help

Dave
