Hi All, 

My BMW F11 has been stationary for over 2 months, I’ve changed the battery ignition comes on, but no turnover after multiple attempts ignition fault appears. I’m looking at changing the starter motor, any other suggestions and can any confirm the location of the starter motor.

    Welcome to the Forum

    First rule when something like this happens is back track very carefully there are a couple of small wires and from memory a fuse on the battery terminal make sure they are all connected and the fuse is OK.

    thank you for your response, just a update. I’ve changed the starter motor and checked the fuses everything appears to be ok, however still not turning over.

    You need some help from someone with a BMW capable scanner which will save a lot of time. A General OBD scanner will not give accurate enough information. So a good Independent or BMW Specialist would be my route
