I am a snowbird spending several months in Tucson AZ.  I plan to return to Oregon in May and leave my 2014 318i garaged in Tucson over the Summer and Fall.  I plan to disconnect the negative pole on the car's battery.  If I do this will I damage the vehicle electronics and when I reconnect the pole will I incur an additional issue as a result?

    Welcome to the Forum

    If you are going to disconnect the battery make sure you know how to open the boot (trunk) manually first 😆 Not sure if you will lose settings in the car over a 5 or 6 month period, you may have to get the battery re-registered

    Disconnecting the Battery won't stop it going flat, we have a holiday home where I keep an old estate car, I connect the battery to a Ctec intelligent battery charger the Ctec is plugged into a 7 day timer comes on over night once a week. If the charger see's a full battery it does nothing.
