Hi guys I've been to view 2 separate e93 m3s both with 85k mileage and both make this same noise when trying to start anyone else had this problem or know what it is I just found it a bit weird that 2 separate cars made the exact same noise

    Starter sounds a little noisy engaging, try a new one in the Dealers so you have a base line. You could use it as a negotiating point

    Hi Dave thanks for the info 

    It was the starter, I ended up buying the car found that on cold starts it fires right up first time but when the engines warm it takes a few turns to start it, starter solenoid over heats or something and wears out anyway job done car fires up first time everytime
