Hi. New to this, so thanks in advance....I want to put winter tyres on my 54 plate x3 xdrive. I don’t want to change the tyres on the current alloy set. I can’t find a cheap alloy set to be the spare, and to put the winter tyres on, so have been looking for a steel set. Is there such a thing specific to this x3 - or is there a standard steel wheel size that might fit, whether or not bespoke to this BMW? My plan is to put the winters on the spare steels, and swap them around like the do in Scandi ...

Hi Duncan

Welcome to the Forum

Check www.realoem.com it is a BMW online Parts List. Put the last 7 digits of your Vin in the Search Box it will bring up your model then check wheels and tyre options.

For my X5 I kept an eye on that well known auction site and found a set of 255x50x18 wheels and winter tyres, though in truth I have used them once in the last 5 years as it's just not been cold enough here in Sussex

Good luck with the hunt

Dave. Rapid and clear. Excellent! I’ll give all of that a go. You’re dead right about Sussex...as also Monmouthshire. But we do spend material time in Scotland, which is less benign! Best
