Can someone tell me what this does and what problems it would cause if failing. 11747810831 Pressure converter. Thanks.

    I am not a Diesel man (apart from my sons Toyota) however I believe the pressure converter alters waste gate values 

    Have you checked www.newtis.info, select your model then put the part number and description into the search box it should bring up the BMW Technical and Service sheet for that part.
