Heres a couple of my new motor.

I bought it cheap with a faulty gearbox and starter motor.

Also bought this 316 E36 compact with a blown headgasket as a donor car to repair the 318.

The compact has a factory fitted parking sensor kit fitted to the rear bumper so im planning on putting it onto the 318.

    e36 318is auto pulls away 1 and second gear changes to 3rd and goes to limp home mode any ideas

    Welcome to the Forum

    Limp mode can be caused by a number of issues you need the codes read to be sure. How was it driving before the issue? How many miles has it done? What service history ? When was the gearbox last serviced ?

    You need either someone with BMW specific software or a Garage with Autologic
