I have reserved a 2016 318i with the new 1.5 petrol engine. Now I know this isn't the fastest 3 series ever made, but it doesn't sound slow either. It appears to be a lot of car for the money, with it being only 15k for a 2016 model with 20k on the clock.

My only concern is the cars MPG, which is one of the reasons for me originally opting for this engine. Having read some reviews of the engine its unclear as to what MPG to expect in real life. Officially its over 50 MPG, but I know not to expect this..... 

Any owners out there with this car, or running the same engine? Would really appreciate your opinions on the car, especially around MPG and performance?

    Hi Paul....welcome to the Forum

    I don't know personally as haven't owned this particular model but comparing it to other modern smaller engines, in diesel form i would imagine you could achieve these figures but not sure you would get that from a petrol engine of that size...but I may be wrong.
