Ok so I have a 05 X5 E53 4.8is and occasionally, just occasionally I can be driving along and I hear three short 'beeps'. Theres no warning messages or lights that go along with them. Anyone know what this is? They are fairly quiet but clearly audible. I do have LPG but again, they dont conform to anything that it is doing either, switching to gas or petrol, low gas etc.

X5's are good at beep's Beep, lights on Beep, seat belt Beep, door open Beep cold out side (I noticed that when I scraped the ice off) but not heard 3 could be something in the LPG control unit when was it serviced last? Or it could be a safety check on your heart rate or a wallet test !!

thinking that it may be an ice warning as had similar on my car and couldn't work out what it was until I looked at the temperature, other car actually displays it (alfa romeo) like it's protesting that its cold 🙂

Hi, I noticed 3 beeps and noticed they occurred 1 minute before the time of something ‘ o’ clock, every time!
