BMW 640D Coupe seat.

Featured Replies

Hello i'm a new member and i hope i can get some help please. I'm looking to buy a second hand BMW 640D Coupe  2012 . The problem is i'm quite a short person and when i sat in one i had trouble looking over the the front even with the electric seat up ! . I really don't want to use a cushion and i am wondering if their is any other way i could raise the seat ?. Thanks.

Morning Dennis

Welcome to the Forum

Nice choice of car, the seat is fixed to the car floor by 4 bolts. I would look at getting a set of spacers made up (depending on how much you need it raised) if not much some washers maybe? If say 2" then spacers and longer bolts are the simplest way.then the car can be returned to standard when selling

Thanks for you're post, much appreciated.

Hi Dennis.....welcome to the Forums

As Dave has suggested, this may be the best route forward and I'm sure any electrical cables will have enough slack in them to increase the seat height with no problems at all.

Let us know how you get on with the purchase.

Cheers,   Trevor
