Hi all,

Im wondering if anyone can help me solve the steering lock fault on my bmw?

The steering wheel amber light has came on the dash and I can not get the car to get past the accessorie mode, you can still turn the wheels but can not get the cars ignition on.

I have a diagnosis tool to use the get rid of the lock but cant use it without the ignition being turned on? I have tried charging and bought a new battery but still no joy.

any suggestions would be great.

    That's an odd one...although I'm sure someone else will know the root cause.

    My thoughts are that it must be a faulty switch unit but without fitting expensive replacement parts I'm not sure what to suggest to diagnose it further.

    Sorry not much help, hopefully someone else may have some ideas?
