Hi, i have a professional bluetooth head unit(with Bluetooth built-in) i can make calls people can call me and i can pick up, all steering wheel controls work fine, problem is no one can he ME! Callers just hear their own voice echo back to themselves please help its driving me mad, tried to check that the mic input wires are in the right place on the back of the head unit but can't find any info anywhere whatsoever so have no idea

Also, is it possible to have the head unit software updated? 

Not sure about your model but in the X5 the microphone is in the overhead console above the rear view mirror. It is just un-clips  un-plugs simple to change it is a common cause of echo in the X5

because the original micro doesn't support when I change in my previous BMW X5 the head unit the new micro was in the package so just change and everything will work

Sorry John you were unclear in your post and didn't explain that your headunit is not OEM. From the screen shot you have posted it looks to be an Android based system. to get information regarding upgrades you will need to Google the manufacturer of your headunit. There are several of these on ebay most are Chinese/
