Hi All,

Can someone help me please.....I've got a BMW X5 SE e53 2006. My car went into limp-home mode briefly...then I saw a warning --- self leveling - inact(ive)

I'm confused...as I see on youtube that some X5's have a dash-switch with three LED's and an up & down switches.....I don't have this on my dash. I didn't even know I could manually adjust the height of the suspension low/med/high.

It's seemed to sort itself out but I'm now interested to learn what control if any I have in my model of X5 over the suspension height

Hi Dara

When you got these lights did you feel your wallet contract !! Its the X5's way of testing your heart rate.

Your car has self leveling rear suspension which is pretty reliable too. The X5 is very power hungry and batteries take a battering if the charge is low then it will throw all sorts of spurious warnings check the battery (under the floor and spare in the boot) also alternator output.
