Hi

i'm new to the club although i have known of it's existance since the purchase of my first BMW.

i'm somewhat disappointed with the current garage that i have been using. i could do with some suggestions for some Reputable Reasonably priced Garages in Nottingham that you guys may be familiar with. i just started getting a message on my dash display "Brake pads worn" with a suggestion to take them to my nearest BMW Service Centre. Main dealers can be extortionate for most jobs... any suggestions???

    Hi Javaid...welcome to the Club!

    I don't know of any specialist garages in your area that I could recommend but if it's just a service and brake pads, I think you should be able to find someone local who can carry out those tasks competently and at a reasonable price.

    Maybe worth looking for a Bosch Service Centre or something similarly branded?

    Took it in to the garage this morning...

    Seems the disks are worn & badly corroded. Calipers also need to be changed... 

    Agreed £400 to cover change of all disks, pads & calipers.

    I thought the disks might be corroded because  i couldn't remove the wheels wheen i did a HID upgrade of the lights.
