Hi peeps!

So I'm looking for a new toy. I want something quick but I don't know what to go for.

At first I was looking at the 330d but now i'm swaying towards the 335d. Sounds like a re-map will take them to a pretty healthy figure.

They are all autos right? That's the only thing putting me off, I've not driven either car as of yet but what's your opinions?

The other option would be an E46 M3, however...and this is just my opinion...I'm not massivly keen on how they look.

Everyone raves about how well they perform though.

Thoughts?

Looks wise it's personal preference but obviously the E90 series is much more modern looking and the interior is better.

Depends if you want a future classic of not really.

If it were between those two diesels for me I'd definitely opt for the more powerful one of the two. As you say those machines are properly quick with a remap and the torque is just mind blowing...

I would think that would be your best bet yes. You know how it though, you're always going to fall in love with the more powerful one

Sounds like a mapped 335d could out perform the M3?

However I know this is a massive debate...so wont go into it lol

You're right it would be a massive debate lol

There's no arguing with the straight line pace of a mapped 335d though!

Having owned two 335ds during the past few years, I would definitely go in this direction! (Remember, 2 turbos are better than 1!!!)

Ridiculous power from a diesel plus great economy!

Personally, I would dump the 'run-flat' tyres and go for conventional set up, makes a lot of difference!

Also, I'm sure the 335 only comes in 6 speed auto?

Good luck and enjoy!!!

Ah fair enough. Definitely worth a drive though before you decide!
